Full electrical upgrade and fit out including management of trades and related works

To be delivered in a tight 8-week timeframe, this project involved the complete upgrade of electrical services at Clones Station for An Garda Station station on behalf of OPW. The work was carried out in a live operating environment minimising and managing shutdowns and switchover of key services. The project included the removal of all existing general services, lighting, and small power in addition to retention of existing lighting for re-installing, installation of new emergency lighting and distribution board including managing ESB meter relocation. Callaghan Electrical also managed all trade and remedial work partners on the project including painters, decorators, plasterers and cleaners.
Callaghan Electrical was responsible for all electrical contract works across the site.
Key work included:
New cabling, trunking and conduit
Replacement of distribution boards and switchgear
Replacement of emergency lighting, communication cabinets and CAT-6 cable testing
Fire detection, alarm and emergency lighting testing and commission
Provide a full range of as-installed drawings for lighting, emergency lighting, general services and boiler house
Retain existing equipment for reinstalling,
Strip out of cabling and services while ensuring key services remain live (fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV).
